Meet Dr. Harkirat Sran DMD, MBS

Background and Credentials
Born and raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Dr. Harkirat Sran has always been drawn to the blend of science, precision, and artistry that defines dentistry. After earning dual degrees in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Washington, he pursued a Master’s in Biomedical Science at Rutgers University, focusing on Oral Biology and advanced dental research.
He went on to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where his dedication to patient care and clinical excellence earned him the prestigious Osher Scholarship. During his time at Tufts, Dr. Sran developed a deep interest in implant dentistry, a field that allowed him to merge technology, design, and long-term patient transformation. His experience participating in a surgical implant course in Cartagena, Colombia further strengthened his passion for comprehensive, technology-driven implant care.
Dr. Sran continued to refine his expertise through advanced training at the Simply Implant Institute and in Arizona under some of the nation’s leading implantologists. He specializes in All-on-4 and full-arch restoration protocols, enabling him to provide same-day, full-arch smile transformations that restore both function and confidence.
Dr. Sran’s Approach to Dentistry
Now settled in Stratford, CT, Dr. Sran leads Astra Dental with a focus on innovative, patient-centered care. His in-house lab features digital scanners, 3D printing, and milling capabilities for porcelain crowns and restorations, allowing him to create custom, same-day prosthetics with precision and efficiency. This integration of technology reflects his commitment to providing the highest quality of care while making treatment seamless and comfortable for every patient.
Dr. Sran and his wife, Dr. K, a board-certified pediatric dentist and owner of Little Teeth of Stratford, both live in Stratford and are proud to serve the community they call home.
In his spare time, Dr. Sran enjoys cheering on Seattle sports teams and riding his bike along the Connecticut coastline.
